Choosing hospital/maternity care in North London - any reccs?

I am being discharged from my IVF clinic and wondering if anyone has any recent experience (last 5 years pref) with North Middlesex vs Whittington (or any others around this way.

I've heard Whittington is good but that was a thread from 2010 and someone said they were reportedly shutting down their maternity ward.

I am likely having a C-section and hoping to have a private ward so any feedback on that specifically would also be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi OP
Congratulations on your pregnancy.
I had a c-section at Barnet General last year and had 10/10 care (though not private I was given a private room as we were in for a few nights post birth and I think they felt a bit sorry for us). A friend had a c-section at the Whittington a few months before and received dreadful care (that resulted in the c-section) and wasn't looked after properly post section and ended up with an infection (as a direct result of poor care).
I can't speak for any other hospitals in NL/Middlesex but I know I wouldn't have chosen the Whittington, and anyone I know who's pregnant at the moment has avoided it like the plague. Also wouldn't touch the Royal Free.
Best of luck :)
