If you had a low lying placenta/placenta previa when was your c section scheduled for?

Just as the title says really! Have read conflicting answers online! Some say in between 36 and 37, some say 38-39 onwards. Thank you ☺️

I had mine at 39+1 but I hadn't experienced any bleeding or other issues. I would think they might go a bit earlier if you had.

Mine was scheduled for 39+3, but I had a bleeding at 37+4 (completely out of the blue after an otherwise totally uneventful and active pregnancy) that was very (!) unsettling, but short, and baby was born at 37+6. The consultant who was doing rounds on the morning of my surgery said they should have booked me in earlier because they see quite a lot of sudden bleeding from low placenta not covering the cervix when the pregnancy is technically “term”.

Mine was at 38 weeks. Stage 4 and transverse.

Scheduled for section at 38 weeks, emergency section at 32 weeks.

Forgot to mention, mine had been low-lying within 1cm from the cervix throughout the whole pregnancy and asymptomatic until the Big Bang at 37+4. Which is the reason why they were ok with me asking for a c section after 39 weeks.

DC1 scheduled for 36 weeks with a strong expectation that it would probably end up an emergency section before then and ended up at 34 weeks emergency section with a blood transfusion. DC2 scheduled for 38 weeks and was done then, much more calmly. Both total praevia. I was advised that any later than 38 was a bad idea as placental insufficiency more likely as well as the ongoing haemorrhage risk.
