Princess Alexandra Hospital rated ‘inadequate’ in CQC report. I’m due to give birth there. Anyone have any recent experiences they could share?

I’m feeling worried about my upcoming c section at Princess Alexandra Hospital. I’ll be alone (family too far to help/husband caring for toddler at home), so feel extra nervous.

I’ve seen that the maternity department is rated ‘inadequete’, so I’m concerned about what the hospital is actually like, what having a c section there is like.

Oh wow I didn't know this! I'm due to give birth there in January. From my experience going there it's been nothing but good. I spoke to a few friends who have given birth there in the last 3 years and they had no issues with it so hopefully it will be fine for us

Have you read the report itself online to understand where the inadequacies are? Many many hospitals are currently rated the same.

I had two natural births there and it was an awful, awful hospital. I'm pregnant again and going to the QE this time.

I'll let you decide if you want to hear my reasons why.

And can I just check it's the Royal Alexandra in Paisley that you mean?

I assumed Harlow in Essex?
