Pembury hospital vs The PRUH

I recently had my DS at Pembury and like another mother from my antenatal group, when my waters broke and weren't followed by contractions and syntocin wasn't working quickly enough, I had to wait 3 days before a doctor became available to operate so we could get LO out. This exposed him to a high risk of life threatening infection.

Thankfully there was no infection but I'm still left thinking about how vulnerable we were due to their lack of staffing.

The PRUH is another local hospital and I heard that another mum whose waters broke early didn't have to wait for intervention and so LO wasn't put at risk.

For future reference I'd like to know what others experiences have been?

I had both mine at the pruh many years ago and can’t complain. My very best friend in the world is a midwife there and I honestly think she is one of the most conscientious and dedicated professionals you’ll find. She will do what is right for each of her patients and has no qualms about telling doctors and consultants if she thinks they’re wrong. Honestly I would trust her with mine and my babies lives. No guarantee she would be your midwife of course but she is now in charge of education of all midwives there so I feel they’re got a fantastic role model and guide. Can’t help more than that x
