ANYBODY HAD EXPERIENCE WITH SAGE FEMME INDEPENDENT MIDWIVES OR ANY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR IMS IN NORTH LONDON?

I'm 15 weeks pregnant with my first and am seriously considering booking an IM for continuity of care - although I wish to have a hospital or birth centre birth.

I found Sage Femmes details on the IM website and am due to have a consultation with Nyree Wright.
Has anyone used her before? Does she come recommended? It would be reassuring to have a personal recommendation as I have just plucked her details off a website.

Alternatively, can anyone recommend an IM operating in North London.

Have you done a search on the Independent Midwives site? Hopefully you'll get some personal recommendations, but they will only work so far - how you react to the midwife is probably just as important. I'd see if there are any other IMs fairly close to you and call them up for a chat.

My friend used The London Birth Practice for her first baby and has just booked the same midwife for her second, due in September. She really loved her midwife (Elke Heckel) and her birth story can be found on the website.

I have met Elke Heckel. She's rather lovely. I couldn't remember the name of her website or I would have linked it to you. She works with 2 or 3 other mws if I remember correctly.

Hello. Nyree is a wonderful midwife. I am a hypnobirthing teacher in North London and a few of my clients have used her. I have only ever heard great things! One of them gave birth last week and Nyree attended her in hospital. She said she had an amazing birth :)
I would also highly recommend Maya Midwives in North London: www.mayamidwives.co.uk/
They supported me to have a beautiful homebirth. I wish every woman could have a midwife they knew!
It's worth meeting them both and see who you fit with.
