I have read a lot about shortcomings of maternity services in the UK recently but does this potentially scare women about to give birth of lead to a general distrust of midwifery?
I think its important to highlight failures of practice but isn't there a danger of trading all services with the same brush? Do the reports highlight the pressure staff in maternity units are under?
