BirthBox reviews? (from Pop That Mumma)

Has anyone paid the £60 odd for the Birth Box, and would they recommend it? I read some hypnobirthing books before DC1 was born and everything except the breathing techniques went out the window. And although I was only on gas and air, there's so much I don't remember about his birth, and I didn't feel fully capable and in control. Id like for this labour (my last one 🥲) to feel calmer and sweeter. Is there anything the Birth Box offers that the other hypnobirthing courses don't?

I’ve followed her on instagram for a while and whilst I do like her I worry that I’ve never seen her mention any actual qualifications in the subject. Whilst I know this isn’t a requirement to do hypnobirthing courses, I feel like she is as informed on the subject of birth as much as the next person who has had time to read/research. She’s not a midwife or a doula and as far as I know hasn’t attended any births but her own.

Have you seen the bump to baby chapter? I found that course really well put together, informative and provided me with the right balance of hypnobirthing and antenatal class type information. It’s run by and delivered by a midwife. She goes over all of the possible interventions you may need, giving/not giving consent, mechanics of birth and best positions to use, pain relief and so much more.

I know that popthatmumma also sells her hypnobirthing/relaxation tracks as a separate to her course - maybe you could purchase that if you like her vibe. But I’d advise getting actual birth advice from someone with qualifications.
