Hello, I've moved to Horsham and need to choose a maternity hospital. I've been given the choices of Worthing, Princess Royal and East Surrey Hospital.
However, when I look online at the cqc inspections, it's unclear which would be the best choice. I also need to find someone in the area to get any recommendations. I am likely going to need to have a C-section, I'm not sure if there is a hospital best suited to that. If anyone could share any experiences and advice that would be really helpful.
Thank you

That was supposed to say I don't know anyone in the area to give me any advice

If you're likely to need a c-section, is it for medical reasons, is baby likely to come early? Does one have better Neonatal facilities?

I had a c section in Worthing in 2019 - great surgeons, shocking aftercare. I stayed in 1 night only, no one available to help with latch, lifting baby, anything. A lot of rudeness/judgement over my inability to move well or stop my unfed baby crying (later diagnosed with cmpa). Partners are allowed to stay, but I had sent mine home in the evening following a promise of help...

Vbac in same hospital in 2022, excellent care during labour/delivery. Didn't need any help after so didn't really clock care levels or use my buzzer to ask for help. It was just me and 1 lady whose baby was in nicu that night, compared with a full ward after my cesarean. Regularly had tea delivered while they kept us overnight though (baby resuscitated following shoulder dystocia).

Would not recommend, but it could have been a bad time for them?

Good luck!
