Has anyone (very) recently given birth at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital?

Hi everyone!

This doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things, but I've been told by my midwife that I'm allowed only one visitor in the duration of my stay in the antenatal ward at Chelsea & Westminster hospital, whether that's via VBAC or C section. This visitor must be swapped out with my birth partner, so only one person can be beside me at a time.

I was just wondering if anyone could confirm this? I do 100% believe the midwife, it's just it would be great to know for certain if this is in fact the case from those who've given birth in this hospital very recently!

Thanks :)

I'd have a look on the maternity website for the hospital, most will detail the up to date visiting arrangements as it is a common question

Hi! I gave birth there in June this year. That was definitely the case then.

Edited to add that they were really hot on it as well. My in laws tried to visit but my mum was already there with me so they were not allowed through. They only live down the road so luckily wasn’t a big deal that they had ti head home.

Gave birth early November. One 24/7 visitor, 1 visitor allowed 14-2000. Maximum 2 people at once
