Which hospital for giving birth in Kent near Sevenoaks

The last thread about this topic was posted about 20 years ago so I was hoping to get some more up to date information.

What are your experiences of hospitals for giving birth nearish Sevenoaks?

It's all over the news at the moment, that many NHS maternity wards are being rated as unsafe which has got me feeling a bit nervous.

I think my self-referral was for Tunbridge Wells but it's still early days so I've not had my appointment yet.

Would love to hear your thoughts.

The PRUH is actually very good these days, but wherever you go you need to be clued up and advocate for yourself.

I had both of mine in TW in ‘19 and ‘21 and due to have my 3rd there soon. Can’t fault it- especially the private, en-suite rooms!

If your pregnancy is low risk, MTW trust has Tunbridge Wells hospital but also the birth centre at Maidstone. It might be worth calling the birth centre and booking onto one of their tours (that run every day of the week) to go have a look - you can go at any stage of pregnancy
