If you had spontaneous births - did they all start the same?

Just out of interest really. Expecting my 3rd any day now. My 1st was induced and my 2nd was spontaneous. I'm wondering whether to expect the same as I did with my 2nd, which started as very gentle contractions which gradually ramped up. Just wondering what everyone else's experiences are.

I had two spontaneous labours and both started similarly- mild contractions and then loss of plug and then contractions ramping up. Waters didn’t go until second stage both times. Only difference was time. The first was about 12 hours start to finish and the second was about 4!

Edited to add: just remembered I actually had a sweep first time but I was already 2-3cms then and had been having mild contractions so I still view it as spontaneous- I think it was happening anyway! Also was 41 weeks both times.

Spontaneous. Very mild contractions (I thought it was just wind), DD was born within an hour of me getting to the hospital.

Three spontaneous births but no similarities. 1st was the full, nothing to waters breaking, second was a slow and steady build up, third was a stop/start contractions for days build up and then a thirty minute birth.

Thanks for the replies. Sounds like most had similar experiences but some had very different ones. At this stage I've had absolutely nothing apart from a few cramps, especially after the sweep which did absolutely nothing apart from cause me pain! Hopefully something will start to happen in the next few days.

No, mine were very different.

no1 - waters went first, like a Hollywood moment - massive flood. Then nothing for half an hour and then suddenly contractions hard and fast and painful from nowhere.

no2 - start to finish was quicker, but the contractions built more slowly from mildly achey back at midnight to baby by 3am. I didn’t notice when the water went, but they had gone at some point (I guess when I was in the bath)

Both spontaneous, both different labours apart from chicken curry and a small glass of red wine before both of them.

Labour with DD started with having sex at 5 days overdue. Contractions started immediately afterwards.

DS's started with waters breaking in the middle of the night. He was born exactly one week early.

Completely different for me. With my first, my waters broke out of nowhere like in the movies. Contractions started shortly after and baby was out in 4 hours.

My second I had sweeps so that could be why, but it started with very subtle contractions that I wasn't sure were real, which got stronger over several hours. The bulk of labour was about 5 hours, and waters didn't break until the last second, closely followed by the baby!

My first 2 were induced, my third was spontaneous - no shoe just contractions, but labour lasted barely an hour and he was born in 2 pushes. 4th took a little longer also spontaneous but still only 3 hours or so soup to nuts.

Nope.
Waters broke with first as I was getting into bed. Short straightforward labour even though back to back.

Cramps with second- thought I had a tummy bug! Another short straightforward labour, born in the caul so waters didn't break at all.
