What were your afterpains like with 3rd baby?

Due my 3rd in a few weeks and I've been told the afterpains with the 3rd are absolutely horrendous. Anyone have experience with them after 3rd baby? Were they that terrible?

Mine were worse than the labour, especially whilst breastfeeding. I didn’t need any pain relief during the labour but took paracetamol for after pains

Yes, extreme especially during night feeds. I think I cried every night feed for about 3 weeks! Worse than any nipple sores tbh.

They were the worst out of all of mine. Tbh I found contractions easier! Take the painkillers

Yes, really awful - esp when breastfeeding. Take the painkillers, or use the Tens if you get on with it

My after pains were worse after baby 1 than 2...

They are bad but as long as you alternate between paracetamol and ibuprofen you will be fine. With my 4th and 5th I needed morphine as well.

Codeine was my friend.

Worse than labour for my third!
