Recent experiences of Stoke Mandeville and Queen Charlotte's Hospitals

Hi all, I am currently debating on which hospital I should give birth in, and am torn between Stoke Mandeville (which is much closer to me, 20 mins, but my partner can't stay overnight) and Queen Charlotte's (which is an hour away but my partner can stay).

Any recent experience whether it's just a thumbs up or thumbs down would be appreciated. I want a planned caesarean, so conscious I might need more support at night.

I'm nowhere near either. If it's planned abs you want your DP to stay I'd say the second one but what would happen if you went into labour before the CS? Would you have to travel an hour in Labour?

I had one unplanned and one planned csec in Stoke a few years back and DH stayed overnight each time. Not comfortably mind!
Disclaimer! We did ask for a private side room and paid for it. The only option for him was a chair in the room!
During childbirth they found some beanbags for him!
I was pleased with my stays in Stoke and I think we were there 1/2 nights for unplanned csec and 1 night for planned.
