Once baby is engaged on (this is my second baby) how long is it usually before labour starts?

What was your experience?

With second or subsequent babies, their head can engage and then pop back up again so it's not necessarily and indication of labour. With my second, she engaged at 34 weeks and then bobbed in and out until she was born at 41+2 🤦‍♀️

Mine was at 3/5 12 hours before I gave birth (my waters had broken 24 hours before that)
Others I know were 1/5 and was weeks to go....it is not a measure at all

First baby? They can be engaged for weeks, or not until right before you go into labour, there’s no hard and fast rule. Second and subsequent babies pop in and out, as mentioned above, so doesn’t tell you anything either. Expect them to arrive roughy between 37-42 weeks and relax, that’s all you can do 🙂
