I’ve suffered losses in the past (first trimester) this is first baby I’ve got to third trimester with so our first child. I’m due in 2 days and I’m struggling with the fact something could happen to him within that time so much it’s making me feel sick. I’ve had counselling the whole of my pregnancy and support - I am finding this final stretch hard

Did you experience this?

Yeah, l had it. Paralysed with it nearly hospitalised. I had a c section. They scanned me just before it to check the position. I was too anxious to look. Doctor thought l was nuts.

lt all went after she was born.

@MRSDoos I’ve definitely found myself more anxious the closer I’ve got to due date, I think it’s normal. You’re about to go through something huge with a lot of unknowns / uncontrollable factors - and your hormones are all over the place! It’s always worth mentioning any mental health concerns or worries to your midwife though, I struggled with post natal anxiety after my first and wish I’d spoken up sooner, so definitely keep a check on how you’re feeling after birth too. Good luck, you’ve got this!
