Hi

i had a c section at 10cm dilated for first baby and I have been warned that this apparently puts me at risk of preterm labour.

so if you had a c section at 10cm, were your subsequent babies born early?

Hi my first labour I was 10cm dilated emergency Csection due to brow presentation. Baby was 5 weeks early.
Second was 3 weeks early placenta stuck to scar tissue from the section. Second was a natural birth.
Third 3 weeks early also no complications natural birth.
Fourth 3 weeks early also and no complications. In my head I can't carry a baby past 6lbs. As all were under 6lbs.
So not much help I guess as they were all early but healthy. If I was having a fifth I'd be asking for additional scans to make sure the placenta is moving as a manual removal is painful 😬 😳

My next one came bang on time at 40 weeks. Was another EMCS at 10cm though.

My first was emcs at 10cm dilated, 42+0. Second was elcs at 39+6 with no signs of being anywhere near labour. I don't seem to go into labour, ever, mind you.

First was EMCS at 10 cm dilated at 40+2.
Second was VBAC at 41+3.
I was worried about pre term labour too but goes to show labour is very unpredictable.

First was csection at full dilation after failed forceps. Went into labour at 38+4 with dc1. He was born at 39+1.
Went into labour at 39 weeks exactly with dc2. Also an emcs at 39 +1 because my giant headed babies don't want to fit through my sub optimal pelvis.

I went for another c section (planned)

Csection at 10cm, baby was 6 weeks early.

Next baby emcs 4 weeks early , also at 10cm

C section at maybe 9, maybe 10. (They originally thought 10 and had me pushing then got concerned and thought maybe 9.)

I went into labour with ds at 39+2. But I also went into labour with Dd at 39+2.

They didn’t mention anything to me about a risk of pre term labour.

Incidentally - successful VBAC. Up until the pushing bit my body knew exactly what to do!
