What does the inside of your vag look like after childbirth

Okay ..... stop reading if you dont was to talk about the inside of a vag...

But ... I'm worried mine doesn't look normal after child birth.

All the diagrams I've seen show the "entrance" looking like a smooth, round circle. Mine is not like that, it's very "bitty"... like little pieces of skin all clumped together. Not the labia, the actual "hole" to the vagina.

I think it was a bit like this before birth but now it just looks so messy in there. It's getting me down.

I did have quite a few stitches in that area so maybe that could be it?

Love to know what u think? Or can anyone relate?

Go to the doctor if you think something is wrong.

How long ago did you give birth?
Stitches can come open and not heal properly.

Agree you should see your doctor if you think something is wrong.

Never in the history of all vaginas has the entrance to a vagina been a smooth round circle, pre or post birth.

Can you work out why it's getting you down, and how things would be different if you did have a smooth round cirle instead of a normal adult woman's vaginal entrance?

Check out Lydia Reeves as an eye opener and for some context.

I had surgery to repair a tear and to this day I can not see where they stitched me up but the hole is definitely different. It's a lot bigger and I can just see more of the inside, which I think is what makes it not look 'smooth' anymore. It doesn't bother me now, but the first time I had a look I cried 😂

I have had multiple professionals look up there now and there's nothing 'wrong'.

Mine is wonky and has a massive scar up one side, which is puckered and definitely lumpy! It still works ok though 😬

VintedoreBay · 19/04/2023 17:03

I was too scared to look 🙈

Mine has always looked like a mess, childbirth just made it worse, I’m sure the stitching caused lumpy scarring and nerve damage, but hey ho.
