Leaking urine - 3 months postpartum all of sudden

Hi,

I’m unsure if I could put down to childbirth, but in last week or so I feel like I’m leaking slightly there (no known trigger) it just feels and pants have shown some discharge.

I’m now feeling itchy too but unsure if that’s a result of leaking:( I was fine after birth but have struggled with odour there since - yet tests come back fine ie high vaginal swab and urine tests!

I’m just wondering if leaking urine all of sudden 3 months after birth is it still child birth related? What can I do? I’m 27.
Feeling uncomfortable!
have hyper mobility prior to this

Yes it is childbirth related! It can happen anytime really.

It came as a horrible surprise to me that pelvic floor exercises were going to be a part of my life for quite a long time!!!

Download the NHS squeezey app if you haven't got it already and I would highly, highly recommend even just once session with a women's physio to set you on your way.

Don't worry it can be fixed!

omg thank you, so worried as feel uncomfortable and itchy. I’m so hoping it can do one, I have hypermobitlity and didn’t know if it had been that! But also been (tmi) constipated and had a lot of issues there lately! :(

Somedays finding it not so bad other days it’s noticeable. Gp wasn’t one for talking on it and just said to do pelvic floor exercises :(

Ah I’m so sorry to hear that @dancingfruit! I’m at the GP on Monday and expecting the same response. It’s awful how we’re left to just ‘get on with it’.
