Is mucus plug always pink tinged or blood tinged? Or can it be just yellow/clear

I’m only 33 weeks but have been having some weird mucus the last couple of days. This morning I’ve woken up to about a teaspoon of yellow snotty mucus. Could this be the plug?

I thought mucus plug had to have a bit of blood in it - or am I wrong?

It's not just one solid plug, it can come away in bits. Are you having contractions?

Lilyandroses · 17/03/2023 09:29

@lurchermummy No contractions, very mild period like pains low down

You can lose bits now and again, it's not a concern. Trust me you will know when the full thing goes 🤢

Dead giant slug ! That's all I'm saying 😱

Mild period pains and an increase in mucus - why not pop along to unit for peace of mind? Sounds like nothing to me but at 33 weeks I'd want their professional opinion
