Best maternity ward near Market Harborough?

Totally new here but wondered if anyone could advise on good and/or bad points about maternity wards near here. I think I have the choice between Kettering and Leicester but have no idea what they're like as I'm new to the area. The other posts I've seen on this are quite a few years old now so thought it'd be great if I could get some fresh info please?

I can't remember which bit Market Harborough is sorry so this might be nowhere near you 😅 I live in North Leicestershire and hopped across county lines to the Royal Derby. Created a paperwork nightmare but they are the best in the region. Really good maternity care, never completely full, and easy to park.

(BTW in Leicester there are actually 2 hospitals with maternity wards - the royal infirmary & the general. Of the 2 I've heard the general is better and easier to get to. There's also a birthing centre in melton mowbray called st marys if you have an uncomplicated pregnancy)

Thanks so much for your reply. I went with infirmary as I was told that’s got a neo natal unit. But that’s interesting about the birthing centre. I’ll have a look at that. I’m 44yo though so not sure if everything will be straight forward (hoping so 🤞)
