If you went into labour at 33-34 weeks...

What were your labour signs?

I'm currently 33 weeks with baby #3 and getting really bad back ache, pressure in my hips and a pain that feels like a constant contraction (but very mild and last for about half an hour, rather than coming and going). Have been feeling like this for about 24 hours now. I had nothing like this with my previous 2, but also never had any signs labour was coming with either.

32 weeks. Waters went and a few hours later it was unmistakably labour. However I regularly speak to prem parents who didn't know until the very last minute. Ring maternity triage and get checked.

Same as yours. Bowels emptying alot too. Born 4lb 13oz now a healthy 5 year old. Ring maternity triage. X

34 weeks, I was in already due to threatened preterm labour. Really loose bowels and a little pink on wiping. Same as my son who I had even earlier

Give your maternity unit triage a call for proper advice. Could be signs of labour - could also be something else like a UTI.

Mommabear20 · 20/10/2022 20:51

Thank you! I'll give them a call!

I have birth at 34 weeks. The day before I emptied my bowels - almost diarrhoea- ish. Brady on hicks 2/3 weeks prior but nothing else.

my waters broke at 4:45 and I had her in my arms by 8:30am. Definitely get checked to be on the safe side.

look at it this way. You will never regret getting peace of mind from getting checked and everything being ok.

but you will always regret if you don’t get yourself checked out and something happened.

let us know how you get on!

Greenbks · 21/10/2022 07:32

@Mommabear20 how did you get on?

AlwaysFoldingWashing · 21/10/2022 08:02

I had a pressure pain across my back, loose bowels and felt very dizzy, I started seeing lights and this was the biggest worry for me as I had pre eclampsia. I had my son at 34 weeks and he is absolutely perfect so try and not worry, just look after yourself as much as you can

Mommabear20 · 21/10/2022 11:10

They said to not worry about it now, as is probably just baby dropping down, and putting pressure on nerves, but to keep an eye on it and if it gets worse then to call back.
