Staying in hospital after birth because of antidepressants during pregnancy

Would anyone be able to advise how long we might have to stay in for ?
Due to have a ELCS in a couple of weeks - how long do you usually have to stay in after this ?
And I'm on 50mg sertraline so wondering if anyone could advise how long baby might need monitoring for ?
Thanks

We were asked to stay in for 48-72 hours for observation. I think we were in for 2 nights in the end. I was also taking sertraline. Our daughter was fine, the midwifes said that it's often hard to tell if the babies behaviour is just being a newborn or is withdrawal from the antidepressants but they need to keep an eye on the babies just in case.

24 hours for 20mg Citalopram. Your midwife can look up the observation period.

If you have an ECS then you will be kept in hospital for 48 hours anyway. That dose of sertraline is very low so it makes it unlikely there would be any issue with your baby. Congratulations!

I had an elcs 7 weeks ago. Ds born at 11am, we left the following evening.

I went home after 6 hours. Was actually told I could go after 3 hours if I wanted and the midwife would come out the following day to do the 6 hour checks.

Don't know if it makes any difference but I was under the mental health midwife

I was on 200mg. Left the day after my ELCS. It was not obvious that DS had any additional monitoring whatsoever 🤷🏻‍♀️

I stayed in 24 hours with dc1 as she was a bit jittery which they thought was due to the anti depressants I had been on during pregnancy. Was also on antidepressants with dc2 and dc3 but was home sooner (12 hours and 16 hours).

I was taking 50mg sertraline in my last pregnancy and ds needed to be observed for 48 hours after his birth. I was told he should have been observed for 72 hours.
This time round the perinatal mental health team have said I will need to stay for 72 hours for baby to be monitored but they will put me in my own room and not on the main ward.
