Anyone been in latent labour that stops and starts?

I think I’m having latent labour that started last night when I had pink spotting then woke up with irregular contractions some where strong some where weak some lasted 1 min some lasted 30 seconds. They were from 5 mins to 18 mins. This then turned into period cramps and back pains and all in all lasted 8 hours! It’s stopped now and I feel so exhausted from it all. It’s almost 10pm. After googling I found out about latent labour. Does this sound like latent labour? Did anyone else have this and how did it all pan out? How long did it go on?

Yep it does and I’m right there with you! Back cramps and period cramps started yesterday at 4:30, still ongoing (no worse or more frequent) today. Very uncomfortable and fed up at 39+5. Been for walks, had curry - nada!

hopefully we both progress soon! Keep positive spirit up

Yes for 2.5 days...you might have a while yet! 😬

I’ve also been having this since last night - seemed to have stopped today day time but is ramping up again now. I’m 38+4. Hopefully not too much longer for us now

I did for 4 days with my first baby. I had no clue it could happen that way and I was starting to think the baby would never come out! With hindsight, I wish I’d moved about more when it was ramping up and slept as much as possible when it died down again. It may not have changed anything, but by the time I got to hospital I was totally knackered and dehydrated, then went home with a newborn after nearly 5 days of very little sleep. Good luck and try to conserve your energy.
