Nottingham.. QMC or City hospital?

Does anyone have any recent experience at either of these hospitals? They're both a similar distance from us. Most likely need to have a section due to a traumatic EMCS previously - I previously thought onlyQMC would offer that but I believe both have the facilities. Any feedback greatly appreciated

Bumping this for you as also curious for feedback (especially considering they're in special measures right now)

Thanks! That's why I was hoping for some feedback. There doesn't appear to be much positive information online

I was also wondering whether there are any options for private in Nottingham. I haven't had my first scan yet so still really new to it all!

I’m booked in for an elective c section at city hospital on 13th October due to mcda twins. Had scans at both fetal care units at city and qmc. Parking wise qmc is easier than city but I’ve had both previous children at city and not qmc. I prefer city than qmc I found them cold and clinical and a bit of a rush where as city is more relaxed and will listen to you and discuss any concerns you may have. But both offer sections and all maternity facilities so it’s just down to personal preference

Thanks for the message! I've got a little boy already but we only recently moved to Nottingham so haven't used either of the hospitals here. Have you had a section before? I had previously assumed it would only be available at the QMC but it sounds like they both offer the same things?

previous natural deliveries (dd 13 years old and ds 9 years old). I’ll be honest totally bricking it this time around because it’s the unknown for me as I know what to expect with natural deliveries but I chose the section this time to have my tubes tied at the same time and reduce the risk of pushing one twin out and then needing a section for the other. Both offer exactly the same facilities so for me I have to drive through the city Center to get to qmc (even though distance wise it’s closer) my concern was rush hour and in an Emergancy how quickly could I get there so city was actually quicker to drive to and you can pull up outside maternity where as qmc you can’t. I’ve got a couple of friends that have had sections at both hospitals and both say the same about the hospitals so there really isn’t any difference between them really with regards to care wise.
