Basically as the title says. In the days/ weeks leading upto your labour how did you feel?
in these late weeks everything is a sign. I had back pains the other day that were coming and going and some cramps. They have since stopped. Iv had night sweats for 2 nights and today when I had a nap I woke up soaking again. I just wanted to know how everyone else felt before going into labour and how many weeks you were? This isn’t my first but my last babies were inductions at 37/38 weeks

In all honestly I felt completely normal until I woke up to a contraction at 40+1.

Nearly 40+2 and nothing but very heavy and uncomfortable. Baby had to be forced out in the end!

DD was born at 41 weeks. Had been feeling totally normal-was lucky to not really have that “big and heavy” feeling just achy hips. Was happily wandering around town that day, looking back I do remember thinking “hmmm, that’s odd, feels like period pains” 🤣🙄

Dominikaa · 27/08/2022 08:17

38,39 weeks felt v heavy.

39 weeks onwards i was just lying on the sofa watching bing bang theory and awaiting my c section date (39+4)

oh and I felt a bit anxious if the baby is ok/ movements and all that. plus was worried about the delivery, if the baby is healthy- pretty much all the tricks the brain wanted to play on me 😅

I went into labour with DS at 39+3. The day before I was getting back pains and also had the urge to make a big meal (a huge roast) which was fortuitous as I was then in labour for 30 hours and didn’t feel like eating much, I think my body was stockpiling calories 😂 but nothing apart from that that I can remember

kitty1993 · 27/08/2022 16:19

@BuffaloCauliflower I'm hoping that's what my body is doing today- I'm 39+1 and I can't stop eating today 😂 part of me is hoping it's my body stockpiling food (energy) for the big event!!

So fed up now and wanting labour to start

I thought I was going into Labour many times in the last few weeks when pregnant with DC1. I was huge, his head was engaged like a bloody bowling ball in my fanjo and I was cranky, crampy and exhausted. Unfortunately I went 2 weeks overdue and had a c-section for failure to progress, so I obviously didn’t read the signs very well Grin.

DC2 I felt energetic and right as rain as dreaded hyperemesis had finally lifted, but I had intense Braxton Hicks at night from about 34 weeks and she came at 37+5.

Thank everyone. I’m feeling very heavy and I’m swollen down there, also very bad pain in the bone of my pelvis just next to my vagina. Been walking round town all afternoon so now I’m very sore think I may have over done it
