Elective C-section on actual due date - chances of him coming early?

Booked in for an elective at 40 weeks on the dot. It's my first baby though so do you think chances of him coming early are slim?

Yes the chances are slim, but also, if he does happen to come early, you can call the hospital and tell them you’re booked in for a c sec but labour has started. They’ll get you straight in. Good luck OP, how exciting!

Is this your first baby? If so yes. Of not then no!

I was given the ELSC date when I would've been 40+1, instead my waters broke at home at 38+4 and I was upgraded to an emergency CS. Not much different tbh, no big panics and it was as stress free as it could be!

Ah ffs, how did I miss you obviously saying it was your first sorry!!!

I didn't go into labour with my first till I was 11 days late!

Thank you! I feel reassured!

My first was born at 39+6 BUT even with a
"Fast" labour I have a lot of warning she was coming soon, like 2/3 days warning
