Can I have some peoples experience at North Middlesex hospital, I cannot decide where to refer to. Its between there and Homerton where I had my IVF, any feedback on either hospital would be great

Hi OP, where are you located?
I had all my DC at the Whittington in archway - maternity unit there is fantastic. Good luck and congratulations ✨

I would probably opt for Homerton over North Mid. I had an epu scan at north mid and it was not the best experience. I ended up referring to UCLH but I've heard better things about Homerton!

Thank you

Hi, I am in North London. I have my 1st appointment with NMH next week, I think I will see how I feel in that appointment and if I'm not satisfied I can always refer myself later down the line

I had both of mine at Homerton and had a great experience both times. Midwives were fantastic as were the doctors. Nice feel to it. Both of mine were born over the weekend so the rest of the hospital was quiet and as it’s small it was easy to walk around in early labour. Nice residential roads to walk around too round the back of the hospital if you get induced and want to walk for longer to get things moving.

Post natal ward was a bit meh but I think they all are. Having said that although they were busy, they did everything they could do get me out as quickly as possible (at my request, my DS was born on my DDs birthday and I wanted to get back to her!).

They also have a costa there. I drank a lot of frozen fruit drinks from there in labour!

I had a planned induction for my second. Over the weekend. Parking was really easy on the residential roads. Although wouldn’t have been during the week I’m sure.

Hi,
Great that information is helpful. Parking at Homerton was something I was also worried about, as most of my appointthere were interested week parking was a nightmare especially in the morning as I think people use the roads to park then get on the train to work
