39 weeks and 2 days- am I going to be pregnant forever??

Anybody want to keep each other company? In similar positions? I’m 39 weeks and 2 days. It’s my third and I’ve been in the latent phase of labour for over a week! I’ve lost my plug in bits throughout the week. Contractions started and faded away. I am not used to this as my other two births were early and super fast. I’ve had a
Lot of pain in my lower back and have been told she’s back to back. Felt like I’m constipated all day but I’m not it’s it’s pressure. Hoping she’s turned as I’ve read some horror stories. Tried curry, pineapple , walking and nothing seems to have worked. I have been feeling a bit funny today, just off, almost fluey, anyone want to share their signs or in my case lack of 😂

@FatherArmando I’ve been trying that and doing lots of walking. I’m hoping it’s a sign she’s going to be a lazy baby that Ioved her sleep 😂

😂 @Kt1111 this baby has been very quiet compared to my daughter so I'm hoping he's just as chilled out on the other side!

I didn't find the sweep that uncomfortable either. Any signs of it working for you?

@CorpusCallosum I’m having some proper tightenings and some really sharp pins, trying not to get too excited because they’ll probably fizzle out. What about you? X

I'll get excited for you 🥳 really hope it ramps up! (Never normally wish pain on people but this is a special situation 😂)

I've had one tightening which is the closest to a proper labour contraction I've had. Waiting to see if any more come along... 🤞🤞🤞

I'm sitting here with tightening and period pain but assuming it's probably not it but still feeling hopeful!

Awww congratulations, how was her birth?

The birth was very quick . 10:30 2 cm- 12-40 fully dilated - 1:17 born . It was the most painful birth of my 3 but So worth it. No stitches, no issues and home after 6 hours x

Wow that was quick no wonder it was painful! Your body has been getting ready for a long time and it was clearly the moment. Time to enjoy your new baby now, I hope all is going well at home 💚

41 weeks today for me 😫 off for a plod round the park to try and walk this baby out! 🏃‍♀️

I was 49 and 6 so @CorpusCallosum you’re nearly there. I did go for a big walk. Keep us updated on you’re progress. Good luck xx

I've literally just started to get some juicer contractions in the last hour! Called in our childcare arrangement in to spend the night here in case it comes to something and DH and I have to be off to hospital in the night. If not, they'd have been here tomorrow as I will be going in for induction. I'd resigned myself to it but allowing some hope in now that I may yet avoid it!
