Still in shock that I just had a baby in the passenger seat of my car on the way to the hospital. Baby sleeping peacefully now but I can't drift off because I feel so full of adrenaline from the experience!

Congratulations! How amazing. Did your DH then have to drive to the hospital with you in the ambulance?

neededafart · 11/10/2021 06:48

Amazing. Congratulations op. Well done to your DP also! Certainly a great story for your little girl when she gets older !
**@cfh2287 congratulation super mama!!!
You should contact your local news paper, tell your story. Makes a change from the daily gruesome stories we get to read about.
When I was first teaching a maths teacher had her daughter in her car, in the carpark of the Tesco near the hospital. The local newspaper covered it... the article was on the pinboard next to the office for years 😂

Congratulations @cfh2287

Omg!!! That’s fantastic, what a story you have to tell the family!!!

Congratulations 🥳, so happy for you xxxxx

DobbyTheHouseElk · 11/10/2021 07:21

Amazing mama ,well done.

Did you get to the hospital in the end?

BikeRunSki · 11/10/2021 07:21

Congratulations @cfh2287

You could babe her after the car! Maybe, if it’s a Clio, Octavia or Mercedes. Maybe not if it was a Golf!

Astra could be nice.

Enjoy your new baby. Mine love being told about when they were born, and what an exiting birth story your has.

CouldWeStartAgainPlease · 11/10/2021 07:22

Aw congratulations!

I had a baby girl this week too! So many on this thread. I had mine the good old fashioned way, planned C-section Grin

Hope you're all enjoying the lovely newborn snuggles. This is my 3rd (and last) and I've had a really difficult pregnancy from start to finish. Trying now to make the most of every moment in a way I didn't with the first 2.

cfh2287 · 11/10/2021 08:58

@CouldWeStartAgainPlease congrats! its my last baby too and I am so happy I don't have to be pregnant or in labour again!!

Yes we are in the lovely birth centre at the hospital now, my partner came in the ambulance too as the battery went on our car. Its parked by the side of a mini roundabout, probably looking like someone was murdered in it! 🤦‍♀️

GrinGrin I did wonder about the state of your car but didn't want to be distastefulbut I'm glad you said it. I'd love to be a fly in the wall when you call the AA!

I hope you are enjoying your new baby and well done to your DH for not crashing, it must have been stressful all round.

MrsBertBibby · 11/10/2021 11:28

Oh come on now, make and model please!

Congratulations! Hope you've got some kip now

FAQs · 11/10/2021 11:52
