Hi! I need to choose a consultant OB for private maternity care at Queen Charlotte's and Chelsea Hospital.

Anyone have any good or bad reviews of the consultants?

I'm looking for a consultant that will support me in as non-interventionalist a birth as I can have, considering I have some factors that require me to take consultant / hospital delivery.

Also, I am aware that the NHS service is very good. There are several good reasons we've decided to go private and that decision is finalized.

Thank you for your help!

William Dennes is absolutely wonderful - I am actually booked in at queen Charlotte this
Coming Tuesday (I2th) and William will be performing the c-section which is so great as he's been brilliant throughout my pregnancy. Hope that helps!

We've booked with bryony Jones. She came highly reccomended and really knows her stuff. She also is a believer in minimal intervention unless you ask for that.

Good luck and congrats

Hi there! Curious to know how your experience was with Bryoney Jones and delivery at Queen Charlotte?

@kiki93 never happened. I moved my change over to 36 weeks due to some complications but my waters broke at 33 weeks and i ended up rushing to my nearby hospital rather than the hour to QC when i wasn't tech a patient there yet and i thought it was an emergency. Had my baby at the local hospital.

However I did speak to Miss Jones whilst I was waiting for my labour to start (waters broke and contractions didn't start for 36 hours). She was sooo good and offered to get me transferred once they released me (as said it didn't happen cos labour came on fast) but didnt push for own benefit as she was more concerned with making sure me and baby were in a safe place. She talked me through what was going on and what to expect and the risks and benefits associated with the choices the hospital was making for me - something my local doctors didn't bother to discuss with me. Thankfully baby arrived surprisingly healthy and well and is now a thriving 8 month old getting into all types of trouble

I offered to pay for that call esp as it was sunday. but she didn't charge me and refunded all the money i'd paid to the hospital.

Miss Jones was great though her secretary is awful. You have to make sure you nag her constantly and check everything she sends you - she initially booked me at the wrong hospital, forgot to send my paperwork to the right hospital despite me reminding her several times, my appts went all over the place etc
