Hello, debating a home birth for my second baby. My first was at Kingston and they were fab but we sadly don't come under their home birth catchment. Can anyone give me their experiences of George's please? I've not had the best first impression so far as despite saying all appointments are at home on their website, they're actually all at Tooting Medical Centre 'because of Covid' Hmm. TIA

I can't comment on home birth specifically as i had my baby in the delivery suite (36w scan identified that she was very small and needed continuous monitoring during labour), but i had a fantastic experience with St George's midwifery team more generally for DD1 in June. I had PROM, followed by sudden hypertension, then baby developed sepsis (all within 48hrs!) and was in George's NICU / SCBU for ten days. My antenatal midwives and the midwife that delivered my baby were absolutely brilliant. Hopefully someone will be along who had a home birth experience to advise you better than i can but DH has already said we aren't moving until we've finished having our babies!
