Anyone had the vaccine a few weeks after birth?

I gave birth just over 2 weeks ago. It's now been 8 weeks since I had my 1st Pfizer jab so due the 2nd. I'm thinking about going to a walk in centre this week but I'm a little nervous about any side effects in this post natal time. I didn't have any side effects first time round apart from a sore arm. I think I'm just nervous about it making the first period even worse, when it comes. Any experiences?

Did you have a c-section? I think that’s the only time you need to check about whether you’re on medication after birth. I’ve seen people on here have had theirs 2/3 weeks after birth and been fine. I’m having a section and my sister had one and waited til 5 weeks after so I think I might do the same

I had mine one week postpartum, after a c-section. I had AZ though. It was at the walk-in clinic at the hospital where I had her (she was in NICU there so DH and I were considered carers, so got it before our age groups were called), nobody seemed concerned about any timing issues to do with the birth. I did feel a bit rough tbh but I was still recovering! I was on painkillers still so they did take care of any extra pain/fever from the vaccine! I think if you're feeling well you should be fine, just keep some paracetamol to hand.

Had my first vac at 11 days pp. no side effects didn't effect milk supply

I had my second Pfizer 4 weeks after C section when I was still on daily anti-blood clotting injections (I was high risk so on them for 6 weeks). I did check with GP just in case - she said no need to wait. I didn’t have any noticeable side effects apart from slightly sore arm.

I had my first a few days after giving birth and it was absolutely fine. No side effects at all.
