Anyone go into spontaneous labour after being induced the first time?

As the title asks really...

My first pregnancy I went 15 days overdue, had a 3 day horrendous hospital induction, no pain relief available when I asked for it only gas and air, waters broken, pessaries, constant monitoring, stuck to a bed on a ward, the drip.... the whole lot. Confused

My due date was yesterday and I’m now very aware I’m on the countdown to history repeating itself.... I’ve planned a home birth but trying to be realistic!

Has anyone here been induced the first time and actually gone into labour by themselves the second time?

Or if you had to be induced again, was it a more positive experience/ easier the second time?

Thank you in advance.. Flowers

I was induced at 42wks with DD1 and whilst it was reasonably quick it was shit. Pessary, drip, back to back, epidural, ventoused out in theatre, 3rd degree tear and episiotomy and minor pph.

Dd2 arrived 10 days late, my only spontaneous birth.

Dd3 was induced at 42wks again (absolutely gutted as expected she would be somewhere between 40 and 41wks based on dd2) anyway it was a really positive induction that time, my bishop score was great, they popped my waters, contractions started soon after and labour was 2hrs long. I gave birth to her standing up which helped. She was 9lb10! .

Dc4 was induced at 40wks due to size. My body wasn't as ready as at 42, so needed drip (and after Dd1 had epidural in first) but whilst it wasn't a mobile labour it was fine. He was born 4hrs after the drip got me to established labour. I could feel him moving down and out and when they finally checked me 6hrs after the drip started he was a push away from being born.

So both really, I've had one spontaneous and 2 far easier inductions.
