When I had my first child, things progressed quickly but when it came to the pushing stage, I felt like I couldn't engage the right muscles. I was almost clenching my bum and although the midwife kept saying "push like you're doing a poo", I just couldn't find the right muscles. Baby ended up ventouse. I'm due with no 2 and want to do something to help prepare for the pushing stage. I used hypnobirthing podcasts last time and they def helped get me to the pushing stage. I just want better control of what I actually need to do to push out a baby!
