How did you get rid of it?

also posted in general health

I'm 5 weeks post section (my third section) and my wound is still a festering mess.

The GP finally prescribed me antibiotics on Friday afternoon but I'm seeing no improvement really.

I've got a 3cm section of raised, weeping tissue that is catching on my underwear and generally just not healing and I'm fed up.

Is there anything I can do? I can't dress it as it needs to air out (tricky with my overhang and breastfeeding a huge baby).

Please help!

That’s rubbish, I’m sorry it’s not healing well. I’d definitely put a sanitary towel over it when you are up and about as that will be a more dry environment, change it every hour or so and air it at any opportunity. With an overhang (normal after baby) the area can get too warm and moist which isn’t great as can lead to infection. Hope you heal quickly. Don’t hesitate to go back to GP if any concerns
