Did anyone take swaddles into hospital with them?

I am probably over thinking this bit just wondered whether anyone had taken swaddles rather than blankets into hospital for their newborn.
I am due in November but have bought a summer weight swaddle as I know that hospitals are hot.
Would it be a good idea to take or is it something that is going to be frowned upon.

They swaddled babies in blankets in the NICU, so I don't see why they would have anything against them? Unless someone has an issue with branded ones that are not just squares of material?

Thank you @Alarae.
That’s good to know. I just wanted to make sure that it wasn’t a no no.

I didn’t take anything for my two previous babies - the hospital had blankets.

I’m due my third in a few week - is this now a thing to have to take in your own blankets?

The hospital used their own blankets to swaddle my 3dc. Those I took were left for going over then when we went home.

I’m due in 2 weeks, been told I don’t need blankets for the hospital but should take one for the journey home in case it’s cold (13 August due date but hey ho!) Also heard it’s nice for them to have a blanket that smells of you so I’ve been keeping the ‘home’ blanket in our room, so might use it in the hospital if it occurs to me.

Yes I did. And they had been prepared in nonbio washing liquid too.
