Hi all you lovely mamas!!! Im currently 35 weeks preggers and i have diabetis again! I had it with my first pregnancy as well. But i was wondering is there any of you ladies out there who had GD and got to have a water birth? I really wanted it with my son but wasnt allowed. But my sugars have been great. So if yous did can yous tell me how yous got ur midwives to say yes? Xx

There is no reason why GDM (gestational diabetes) controlled by diet or metformin tablets should prevent you having a waterbirth
Why did they say no last time?

They said incase my sugars dropped and something about blood pressure dropping as well. I was soo annoyed cause i wanted it so much. So should i push for a water birth this time? Tbh i dont think im going to make my due date. I have 5 weeks left and im so big. I have an appointment on monday for the diabetic clinic. Im hoping they take me a little early. She was 4lb 3 weeks ago. Im expecting her about 6lb this week 🙈🙈.
