Hi OP,

I had my son at 34+4 via emcs. My water broke and induction wasn't working so they had to get him out quick. He was perfect and weighed 2.2kgs. He was strong and fiesty despite his small size and we didn't need any time in the NICU at all which all the doctors were quite surprised by. We were home 3 days later! All in all it was totally fine, he was small and is still a light thing at 5 years old.
34 weekers have a great outcome so try not to worry. All the best to you!

My first was born at 33+5. It was a natural delivery with very little warning so there was no chance for steroids to work on his lungs which I imagine you will be given. He was 5lb 1oz which was a good size for the gestation.
I was able to hold him when he was first born but he then had to go to NICU and spent almost 3 weeks between there and the special care baby unit as he needed some help with breathing and feeding. He was on cpap for a few days and had a feeding tube for a while before I could start feeding him.
Despite this start, he’s been a strong, healthy boy ever since with no lasting problems. He’s 10 next week and it won’t be long before he’s taller than me!
Good luck. Xx

32 weeker here. She was big for her 'age' (2.2kg) and was as well as she could have been from the start, but stayed in SCBU for a month. I reckon it would have been a bit shorter if I hadn't been trying to breastfeed which all worked out fine in the end.

My little boy was born at 35+3. He weighed 7lb 2oz and he was in the neonatal unit for 4 weeks.

DD was born at 33wks. 2.2kg (5lbs). 7 days in scbu but just for obvs really. Had steroids so breathing was fine. Feeding tricky cos she was so sleepy but avoided tube feeding.

Thanks for the comments. Baby is small and last week the estimated the weight at 3lb 4oz, were your weights during growth scans pretty accurate when baby made an appearance. Weve had steroid injections, just starting to feel nervous at how vulnerable he/she will be.
