Do you take your hospital bag with you everywhere if you're near to d-day?

I'm due tomorrow and we went out for the day today, a good hour away from home. It occured to me before we left that perhaps I should take my bag with me, if not the bag at least my notes, but then decided against it on the basis that if I'm not prepared things are more likely to happen.
Still here with bump (sigh.)

eek- I don't carry anything with me. Mind you I have a high risk pg so it's all in my hospial notes anyway

Pixiefish , what if you were involved in an emergency that wasn't local to your hospital?

I know most pregnancies are fine but the unexpected can happen.

It's sensible to protect yourself and the baby.

There is no hospital anywhere near here. If I was to go away from our area then i would take my notes but my maternity hospital is the only one within about a 100 mile radius

Ok so I'll start carrying the notes with me. (still here with bump- 40+1)

Have been carrying my notes around with me since about 12 weeks. Was nearly involved in a car accident around then and obviously didn't look pregnant - made me worry about what would happen if i was unconscious and unable to tell anyone I was pregnant. Reasoned that it would be highly likely they would check my handbag for ID and see my notes at the same time. I had a 30 minute each way commute until 36 weeks and was always only person in the car.

Am not carrying bag around though! Only got round to packing it last week (am now 39+6) am convinced that a) this baby is going to be late and b) things are not going to happen quickly enough for it to get left behind!

Good luck to all those on this thread now overdue/due (including me!) Baby out vibes for all!
