Worried about labour because of Corona

Hi, I live in London and am due to have my first baby in late May/early June but I'm starting to panic I won't be allowed to have it in hospital because of Corona, and also crucially that my husband won't be allowed to be with me which is really important to me. (Neither of us are key workers so we are both working from home apart from him doing the odd supermarket trip). Looking for reassurance. Many thanks

Easier said than done, but try to be calm, no one can control what will happen in a few months.
At the moment our hospital births are going ahead as planned with sensible precautions, extra PPE and hand washing. Birth partners have been limited to 1. NHS will always support births, it can't be put on hold, so has to be a priority. X

I'm also terrified at the thought of having my baby at the moment, due same time as you. My hospital is saying 1 birth partner at the moment but I think it will change to none as that's what other hospitals near by have done, it's my first baby and I'm a high risk pregnancy I can't imagine doing it on my own, so so upset by the thought of this. Praying that things get better in the world before end of may 😞 x

Hi, hopefully this will help. You could also check your hospitals maternity website page. Mine is saying 1 partner but only for the delivery and not on the wards, which I can cope with. Good luck! x
