ok girls. went for it yesterday morning and then bled all day and still bleeding. is this normal? it's not painful at all... wasn't at the time either.

does this mean problem with stitches?

to update. have had baby. not yet had 6wk check up. stopped bleeding from childbirth about 2 wks ago. had sex for first time since, the other morning and have been bleeding ever si nce - like a period. Is this normal or is there something not right (like my stitches).

Any advice? opinions?

I had stitches and didn't have any post-coital bleeding. Maybe someone else will have had a similar experience, but maybe a call to your doctor tomorrow?

patchwork - don't think we're qualified! but maybe its some residue? wouldn't think its your stitches but as katg said - I'd give your gp or midwife a ring - in fact can't you give your on call midwife a ring now?

I am a midwife and I would say it might just be your "periods " starting up again .. Post coital bleeding doesn't usually go on and on, it's more like spotting .. Your stitches will be healed by now , so without examining you , I'd guess it was your period ..just co - incidentally starting after sex .. BUT I WOULD advise you to see your G.P. or speak to your health visitor TOMORROW to make sure .. Good luck
