How did the length of you second labour compare to first?

7.5 hours.

DC1: induced, 5 hours from first contraction to ventouse delivery
DC2: 2h 40 mins from first contraction to first cuddle. We were in the hospital for a grand total of 27 minutes before she was born.

First....induction then 36 hours followed by forceps. Horror show.
Second...waters broke, six hour labour with gas and air.

Dc1 active labour about 12hours,DC2 active labour about 30 mins ,it was great but it's also quite shocking to have a baby so quickly!!

36 hours ending in csection. To about 3/4 hours ending in partner missing the birth as he was still dropping ds1 at gparents. (Second time ended up being lovely with a fabulous midwife. Husband still bonded with daughter and was not unhappy just pleased it all went so well after first experience).

1st : 14.5hours
2nd : 56 hours 🙈

From waters breaking to holding baby

DS1: 3hrs
DS2: 67 mins

Expecting DD1 and been warned it will be very quick!

DC1- 19 hours from very 1st contraction, about 6 hrs active labour

DC2- 4 hours from 1st contraction, about 1 hr active labour

DC1 - 2hr 20mins
DC2 - 1hr 10mins
DTs - 36 mins, including the 4mins between them

Times are all first contraction to baby in arms.

DS1 24 hours pushing for 2
DS2 48 hours
Both back to back

DC1: 3 hours
DC2: 10 hours
DC3: 1hr 2min

DC2 was longer, but a million trillion times easier than DC1!! And DC3 practically flew out

DC1 - 18.5 hours established labour. Was contracting for about 30 hrs prior to that.

DC2- less than 2 hours. Was a shock
