Hi I had a very straightforward birth no tears or grazes, bleeding has stopped I'm on day 8 but really want to sleep with my DH again. I feel fine down there I know there's no official wait time. But I am nervous just wondered if it's medically too soon?

I'm pretty sure I was told to wait 6 weeks - correct me though if I'm wrong somebody.

I remember that with my first but they didn't mention anything this time. I've spoken to some friends who have said they waited 8 weeks, some a few days but I'm worried about the internal wound issue part I've read about Confused

There's no right answer to this other than whenever you feel ready.

Advise is to wait 6 weeks usually but if you don't want to whenever you feel ready really. You're extra fertile after birth so make sure you take precautions

Oh and don't be surprised if your PP bleeding starts up again. It's really common for it to stop and start. Mine stopped for a few days around day 8/9 then carried in again on and off until 4 weeks

We did not wait more than a couple of weeks but I. did fall pregnant again almost immediately so do take precautions 😃

www.nhs.uk/conditions/pregnancy-and-baby/sex-contraception-after-birth/ doesn't give a time limit. Precautions needed from 21 days after birth
