More mucus plug lost on morning of induction

I'm due to be induced today with my first child. Was told to call at 9 and they said there are no beds atm and will be calling me again at 1pm to give me an update so I'm just sitting here, reading every post about childbirth on mums net lol.

I feel like this may sound silly but I guess I'm just trying to keep myself occupied haha.

I'm 40+12 today, had 2 sweeps, one at 40+1 where I lost quite a bit of mucus plug for 2 days then stopped, and the second at 40+8 where I've been losing it non-stop since then. Had a bloody show both times too!

I'm still losing the plug which I guess is a good thing? I know losing your mucus plug doesn't mean you'll go into labour soon as it can happen at any time but I'm wondering does this eliminate any parts of the induction process? Or could it mean anything good at all? I'm assuming not but couldn't find a post on what I wanted to know so here I am haha.

Lost all hope that this little fatty will come out naturally now so just trying to hope for the best with my induction Smile.

How did it go? Do you have ypur baby yet?

I've been in hospital since Thursday with reduced movements and SPD. They booked me in for the earliest induction slot which is tomorrow morning. I had a sweep on Thursday evening which led to irregular contractions that night and a bloody show on Friday. I've continued to lose mucous all day today (Saturday). Ive had strollng period pains but it hasn't progressed beyond that - I'm really hoping that I'll have dilated to 3cm (i was 1-2 before sweep) and that they'll be able to break my waters rather than give me a pessary
