Is needing a poo a lot an early labour sign??

Hi all, I'm 33 weeks and pretty sure this little one is coming early. My daughter came at 36weeks.

So I've got had a bit of spotting nothing to worry about, braxton hicks (standard) but now need a poop a lot...this has been a change from frankly straining a lot..

Could this be a sign?
What were your early labour signs?

Xx

Do you mean you frequently feel the need to over a few days, or you constantly feel the need to now?

JiltedJohnsJulie · 29/12/2019 20:44

For me it was, and needing a wee too.

Whiskerychinsrock · 29/12/2019 20:44

It could be. Phone your Day Assessment Unit and they'll ask you in to be checked over. Good luck.

Can be. I think a '"clear out" is a sign.

Good luck! You may want to ring labour ward as they can give steroids to help mature baby's lungs, just in case you didn't know.

Yep! I had this with first child! Not sure if it was the labour or the curry from the night before! Had the curry to get me started. wouldn’t recommend the curry though as I shat in labour

mnahmnah · 29/12/2019 20:49

Definitely was with both of mine. Looser poo too. I even threw up when I started contracting with my first. Good luck!

I had a very loose tummy for weeks but no signs of labour. I had an ELCS so never actually went into labour at all.

happycamper11 · 29/12/2019 20:58

Apparently, but my friend had that 3-4 weeks ago, is now over due and been having contractions for days but no sign of baby

Boymummy3 · 29/12/2019 23:07

I've had this since 32 weeks... Now 36 weeks. It can be a sign but I wouldn't read much into it tbh untill you get other labour signs

Hi ladies than you all
So much for responding.
TBH I'm so fed up of being preggers that I might be looking for it (I know it's still too early though).

Let's see what the next few days bring xx
