GF has had a blody show at 4.30pm today, since then has had a few wispy streaks of blood mucus when going to the toilet

... no contractions yet

... eek! Is this the big push?

how long do people think this could go on (or how long is a piece of string)...

any advice people out there? feeling anxious!

(the hospital bags are all packed and ready to go)

It's "how long is a piece of string" time, I think!

How many weeks is your GF?

You'll have a baby soon - that's my prediction!

Good luck!

when i had my show a couple of days before an ante natal appointment my consultant said to me "if i dont see you in 3 days i'll see you in 3 weeks" 3 days later my waters broke .

i guess its imminent

yerblurt · 16/08/2007 00:58

estimated due date by scan - 12th august... so 40+3 days ...

eek!

hayley2u · 16/08/2007 09:45

... GF feels tired today so is just chilling out, sleeping loads and eating (my idea of heaven lol)

no sign of any contractions, but hey, they could come any time between now and next week I suppose. Just keeping an eye on the discharge.

GF says bubba doesn't appear to be back-to-back as we can feel her feet and back on her sides, bubba just seems to be "stretching" out, probably getting a bit confined in there (I'm 5ft 11in and GF is only 5ft 2in so bubba must be kinda squashed bless!)

fingers crossed eh

... no doubt bubba will decide to make an appearance on sunday morning when I've got a steaming hangover!

yerblurt · 16/08/2007 11:35

I know, everyone goes on about this Gina Ford lass, I remember reading about her in the guardian or something - seems a bit extreme for my liking!

Yes yerblurt, if you value you life then do not go on any nights out until after baby is born. My partner stayed away overnight before dd was born and I never felt so alone, except when he was sent home once we went to the hospital at 5am. So if anything happens before 8am do not go in unless labour is actually cracking on!

GF will not appreciate feeling abandoned.....

Baby will arrive anytime in the next 3 weeks!
