C sections vs natural birth - with pelvic floor issues

I’m just after some advice/real life experiences of c section vs natural birth when you’ve got exciting pelvic floor issues from a difficult, forceps first birth.

I’ve been left with fecal urgency issues which I’m now terrified are going to get worse with this pregnancy/birth

I’ve booked to see a private physio to try and help but wondering which birth option is best for me

Midwife said to speak to the consultant about it but can’t do that until 28 weeks and I’m just getting really anxious and thinking about it all of the time so I’m hoping someone will be along with their stories or advice so it gives me other ways of looking at it etc

I’m currently 2 days post ELCS for exactly same reasons as OP. I had easy first labour, awful second which left me with very little perineum and a mild prolapse. I can live with what I’ve got but the thought of it getting worse, plus the natural decline with age made me chose a c-sec. I thought I was prepared for the post-surgery pain as all my friends who had had planned c-secs commented on how good and “breezy” it was. I’m not convinced so far. Right decision for me but def isn’t the easy option! I have 2 DS at home and am dreading going home to parent them! Hoping this is short term pain for long term gain!

How old are you’re two oldest @Jeb86?

Would you mind letting me know how you get on over the next few weeks as this is what I’m really worried about with a little one at home already?

Hope you’re enjoying newborn snuggles though!

@Willow4987 they’re 4;9 and 2;3 yrs. the oldest has just started school. My husband works away from home on ships but was able to plan his time home well so he is going to be around for 6 weeks and then my mum will come up to help when he’s back at work.

Just got home today after 2 nights in hospital, pain is getting slightly better but still bad. I’ll try to remember to let you know how I fair, but if I don’t then feel free to PM me!
