I'm 36 weeks and baby dropped last night. My pelvis is so uncomfortable!!! I've read that baby dropping in anything other than first pregnancies is a sign it could all be about start. What are your experiences please? I'm hoping for a bit longer - haven't even finished packing the hospital bag or dusted off the Moses basket yet!

Honestly - there could be several weeks to go yet, OP. (Midwife here.)

You might even go overdue. But it's time anyway to get things organised whether the baby's head has engaged or not.

Wishing you well for the birth.

Thank you both - that's reassuring!

I know what'll happen now. You'll update the thread this evening to say that the baby arrived at lunchtime.

Only joking.

Ahem. I believe i am in front of the op in that queue!

Oh well IVEgottheDECAF I suppose you do have priority.

Pop round and I'll induce you before the OP.

If only that was a genuine offer!
