Pregnant with baby no 2 and my first was preterm

Looking for anyone who has been in a similar situation. I had to deliver my first baby at 29+5 due to end diastolic cord flow disruption. She was absolutely fine but we spent 7 weeks in hospital before she came home.

I've just found out I am pregnant with my second and am absolutely terrified the same might happen again. The consultant said after my 1st the chances are no higher the 2nd time around just because it happened the 1st. I also had 2 miscarriages before my little girl so all in all not great at this pregnancy thing🙄.

My 1st was premature.

I got pregnant when he was 6 months old. Had placenta previa and the placenta was growing through the c-section scar.

I was terrified throughout the pregnancy but she waited until her scheduled ELCS at 39 weeks... she's now 2 and has just fallen asleep on my lap for the first time in ages.

I feel for you. Pregnancies last such a long time. Every day feels like a month when you're worried.

Keep repeating the consultants words.

Thanks for that. How prem was your 1st if you don't mind me asking?

He was 2 months ... 32 + 5

Not a micro preemie but lots of health problems at birth and for the first few months.

They will start you on a small dose on aspirin to reduce this happening again and closely monitor you. Obviously nothing can guarantee that it’ll not happen again but they can reduce the likelihood x
