Hospitals for my delivery - Ashford, Kent area

Hi ladies, does anyone live in or near the Ashford area of Kent? I'm in a surrounding village and so far have been under the care I the William Harvey. I'm due to have Identical twins in June so am classed as high risk and so far my feeling on the WH are very mixed, aka not very impressed. WH is my nearest hospital at 20-25 mins drive away, however wondered if any women have given birth elsewhere - other hospitals have been mentioned by my midwife including East Grinstead, Pembury etc. Where did you deliver and what was your experience? Please note I will likely have a planned c section or planned delivery at 36 weeks unless the twins decide to arrive earlier which of course they may do. They will also likely be in NICU when they arrive particularly if too early. If anyone has any helpful comments as to what hospitals I can go to and if you rated the pre and post natal care that would be great. Thank you

I had my first and Pembury and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. The bonus for me is that they only have private rooms, no shared wards for post natal. I had excellent care there, although didn’t have any complication so can’t comment on that. Good luck wherever you decide!

I second Pembury! Had my first baby there last July, birth didn't go quite to plan and they were fantastic.
Also the private rooms make the whole experience so much better, I was really worrying as I'd never spent any time in hospital before but having our own space made it all a lot less stressful.

Had my first ay WH 5 years ago and going back again for my induction on Friday!

They were good and let us go home as soon as we felt able too.

I've not had my baby yet but I've been under the care of Pembury and I've also heard great things from ladies who have delivered there. Definitely worth looking at!

I had my first at WH, started on the MLU but ended up on the main delivery ward, then in theatre. I had no issues with the hospital or staff, I was scared for very well. I'll be having my 2nd there later this year but I'll hopefully stay on the MLU!
